About Me

Dr. Gouri Mohan is an Assistant Professor at IESEG School of Management in Paris. Her research focuses on leadership, diversity, and social networks in teams and organizations. Specifically, Dr. Mohan is interested in studying how individual differences affect interpersonal perceptions and the emergence of leaders. She examines the complexities of leadership, including how social networks, identity, and power dynamics influence who rises to leadership and how they lead. At the same time, her work is deeply rooted in advancing diversity and inclusion, investigating how organizations can create environments where diverse perspectives are valued and opportunities for advancement are accessible to all.
Dr. Mohan's research is motivated by a desire to bring more inclusiveness and nuance to the understanding and practice of leadership in contemporary organizations.
Dr. Mohan holds a PhD in Management from IESE Business School in Barcelona. Her research has been featured in academic outlets such as the Leadership Quarterly, Journal of World Business, and Journal of Business Ethics.

Prior to her academic career, Dr. Mohan worked as an HR Manager for a multinational company in India, handling end-to-end HR operations. She has extensive experience in HR planning, talent management, and leadership development.
